Google just yesterday only highlighted its Flight Search features, now the company has launched a new experimental feature that lets you check your online purchases from select merchants in Google Search and track your packages right from the results page.
These new features are part experimental search and Gmail field trials and anybody can sign up to use–and enable searching your Gmail inbox from Google.com on the desktop and on iOS or Android phone.
“You’ll also be able to find your stuff and get all the search results on mobile devices where SSL is on by default (iOS 6 devices and the search box on the home screen for JellyBean devices), for a more consistent Search experience no matter what device you’re using,” google stated.
So now instead of digging through your email, “you can find a lot more useful information from your Gmail when you search on Google.com using new search operators,” informs Gogole.
For example, previously you could search for [my flights], now you can also search for [my purchases] that shows “a list of recent online purchases from select merchants and track the packages to see if they’ve arrived yet.”
In addition, users can also quickly check their holiday travel plans with another new search opeartor available today–just search [my hotel reservation] or [my restaurant reservations] “if you booked through OpenTable,” and search for [my events] “to easily see information from Ticketmaster or Eventbrite about your upcoming concert, sports game or other event,” google explains.
