With holiday season just upon us, Google integrated a new “donate” button directly in to the search results page that appear for people in the United States when they seach for their favorite orgranizations in the Google for Nonprofits progam.
“Search has always been a place to find information about events, news, people, entertainment, music and organizations….stepping further you can now donate directly to organizations you care about using Google Search,” Google said.
Now, people searching for U.S.-based nonprofits will see a new “Donate” option, which when tapped or clicked will show an easy donation flow that lets you give to your favorite organization as easily as you can look up its history, phone number, or website.
In the example screenshot below, you can see a search conducted for a nonprofit [Direct Relief], followed by donation screenshot:
Google says the feature is initially available to organizations in the U.S. across causes and locales who have opted in through Google for Nonprofits.
Organizations interested to learn more or want to be a part of this feature, should visit google.com/nonprofits/.
