Google Rosa Parks Logo: Remembering Montgomery Bus Boycott

Google today remembered the “historic day,” — “On December 1, 1955 in Montgomery, Alabama, Parks, age 42, refused to obey bus driver James Blake’s order that she give up her seat to make room for a white passenger. Although she wasn’t the first to make such a statement, her action on that day initiated the Montgomery Bus Boycott.”

“Rosa Louise McCauley Parks (Feb 4, 1913 – Oct 24, 2005) was an African American civil rights activist, whom the U.S. Congress later called “the first lady of civil rights”, and “the mother of the freedom movement”,”Wikipedia.

At the same time, Google didn’t post a red ribbon today, to commemorate World AIDS Day.
