Google has announced of launching a newly redesigned hotel search experience for desktop searches.
Early in the February of this year, Google had introduced a refreshed design for hotel search on mobile devices.
The new experience aimed to help users easily search, explore and filter hotel searches.
Because, the new hotel search result experience on mobile is liked by everyone, says Google it’s adding the same modern look and feel to hotel search on the desktop as well.
“We see that travelers love interacting with the new mobile features,” Google said.
Adding, “[…]we’re bringing the same modern look and feel to Hotel Search on the desktop, too,” said Google.
The revamped hotel search uses an interface of grid and card to show hotel results sorted by the search filter.

Users can further apply filters to sort down the results on the map by zooming in or simply dragging the map around.
Even more, users can also make changes to a date range, price ranges, review ranges, specify amenities required and more.
Here is what is offered in the new hotel search results:
- Photos from the hotel or travelers
- Hotel information, including neighborhood and location
- Hotel reviews from the web searchable by keywords such as “air conditioning”
- Hotel details including prices
- Compare hotel room prices
The new redesigned hotel search result experience will be available globally for people to make their upcoming holidays planning as well as traveling in 2019.

Google has given a new design to its hotel listings that adds an additional slot to now shows four local packs for hotels in Google Search.
The revamped hotel local pack now looks more like the redesigned hotel search results on the desktop (see above).
The most obvious change is Google now shows four hotel listings instead of three. And, a new carousel that has five new icons to filter search results by top choices, guest favorites, budget options, luxury stays and for tonight.
