Blogosphere is saddened to hear that Bloglines will be shutting its doors on October 1. Well, honestly, I’m not much affected, as I never use reader, rather I prefer to visit the blogs directly through browser as an appreciation to people’s hard work, as they deserve atleast some page views.
Bloglines was a pioneer in the feed reading space, and for Web 2.0 in general, but if you’re looking for another online feed reader, try to give Google Reader a shot. All you need is a Google account (you probably already have one) — watch the video below to help you get started. It’s also very easy to bring your Bloglines subscriptions over Reader, you just have to export them from Bloglines and import them into Reader.
