Google Optimize Offers Easier Ways to Manage & Measure Experiments

Google is helping out webmaster to meet the challenge of running and managing site tests to improve the performance of their websites with three new features it adds to its analytics offering Google Optimize.

That will especially help in managing multiple experiments, juggling different schedules, and then analyzing data right from Optimize.

Here are details of new Optimize features rolling out Thursday:

Email Notifications

Important updates about experiments, like when experiments start, when they end, and what was the winning variation will be served through the new email notification as they occur.

Email notifications can be enabled when creating a new experiment. And, at any time email notification can be opt-in or opt-out from the container settings or within a specific experiment

New Analytics Dimension

To help understand the impact of site experiments on a business, a new dimension is created in Analytics called “Experiment ID with Variant.”

This dimension combines Optimize Experiment ID with a specific variant of the site that users saw to deeply analyze Optimize experiments in Google Analytics.

Just create a segment in Analytics with a single click once the experiment data is in one dimension.

“Use it to add a segment to Analytics report and understand if Variant A or Variant B had a more positive impact on your revenue per user. If you’re using Optimize 360, you can also create an audience from your segment, then reach these users through remarketing campaigns or custom site experiences,” the company wrote.

Scheduling Experiments

Experiments can now be launched during a specific time or event through the new schedule experiments feature that will automatically push the “Start” button ahead of time to make it live.

Update 09/26: Google Optimize is rolling out updates that aims to help businesses deliver more better and personalized experiences to customers.

Google now allows to create custom website experiences to show the right message every time their customers visit the site. This feature compliments existing ability of running short-term website experiments with Optimize,

With just a few clicks Google Optimize now let business pick and launch the best version of a site once their experiment has ended.

“Simply click “DEPLOY LEADER,” and Optimize will re-create the winning version of the site as a new personalization that can be launch to any segment of customers.”

Additionally, Optimize 360 customersr can also specify an Analytics audience they want to reach.

In addition, personalized experience can also be launched from scratch. To do this, first, click on the “Create Experience” button, then select “Personalization” as the experience type.

Then, open Optimize Visual Editor, and add for example the free shipping offer to your site. And, then, select “users located in San Francisco” and launch the personalization.

Personalization features are now available to all Optimize users, with more personalizing features on the way.
