By sending messages to local businesses customers can ask about the products and services without having to make a phone call.
Until now in some select countries, Google allowed people to massage business owners directly from their Business Profiles on Google.
Today, the company has introduced a new functionality that enables users to view the messages from the local business in Google Maps.
With the new ability, people can easily see messages via Business Profiles within the Google Maps app from the local businesses they connect with.
“With these messages in Maps, you’ll never have to worry about accidentally sending “I love you, Mom” to that shoe store you’ve been sending messages to,” Google wrote.
In order to connect with a local business, the owner must have enabled messaging. Just look for the “message” button on Business Profiles on Google Search and Maps.
These messages can be found in the side menu of the Google Maps app.
