I’ve just received and email from Google about the settlement of a privacy lawsuit filed by a group of Buzz users. The settlement acknowledges that Google quickly changed the service to address users’ concerns.
In addition, the $8.5 million settlement money will be placed into an independent fund, most of which Google say will support organizations promoting privacy education and policy on the web. The search giant promises to do their past to educate people about privacy as well.
