Google released iPad-friendly version of Google Mobile App, designed to show neatly on iPad’s screen. “The usual features of Google Mobile App for iPhone, like search by voice and My Location, work well. From the Apps tab, you can also easily navigate to Google’s web-based apps, such as Gmail, which was recently optimized for iPad. To download Google Mobile App to your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch (requires OS 3.0 or higher), search for “Google Mobile App” in App Store or just visit iTunes,” notes Google.
“Redesigned Compose page in Gmail for Mobile has new address fields that automatically expand to fit all email addresses entered. When you start typing name into compose view, you’ll see possible contact choices in autocomplete dropdown. Once you select contact from autocomplete menu, you’ll also notice that contact becomes an object that you can tap on. Some other nifty new features: Remove contact you just added by tapping Backspace; Press ‘+’ button to see your top contacts, or hide them by pressing ‘–’ button; If for some reason autocomplete fails you and person you’re trying to reach Gmail user, just type their Gmail username and comma, and we’ll take care of pesky @ sign and rest (so [hikingfan] becomes [[email protected]].); page now fills entire screen, giving you more space to see what you’re writing.”
