An updated version of Google Merchant Center, with more streamlined navigation and easier access to additional Shopping programs is launched today as on August 30, 2016.
First up, the Merchant Center now sporting Google’s Material Design, now offering a fast, responsive UI, used by rest of company’s products.
The new Home page show recent announcements, your account’s dashboard data, links to your feed, and [product data quality information under the Products page].
In addition, to help you manage and configure your product data for Shopping ads, Merchant Center also now let you explore additional programs for your products including Local Inventory Ads, Merchant Promotions, Product Ratings and more.
Merchant Center Programs page can be accessed under the 3-dot icon.
Additonally, you can explore various programs by selecting the Learn More option in each card, as well as you can participate in a program by selecting Get Started.
In additon, the following feature updates helping you includes:
new Feed Rules, now allows change or update specific values while keeping other existing color values intact. The new user interface let you create new values, update specific values, combining static values and/or values from different attributes, extract values from other attribute values.
The Diagnostics page data is now displayed in near-real time instead of twice a day — meaning that you’ll have fresher data to update and optimize your product feeds.
Currency conversions, which allows converting currency in your product data locally—now expands to ‘advertisers running shopping campaigns in other countries,” while sellers can show products in local currency without needing to change their existing website and landing pages.
You can also enable or get started with Dynamic remarketing reporting, Product ratings in Shopping campaigns and Merchant promotions from this page. If Dynamic remarketing reporting is enabled, you’ll see the Display products overview chart on the home page.
