Google has now made available “Maps Coordinate” on iPhones in addition to Android devices.

- Collect data. Mobile teams often need to collect information while out in the field. Google Coordinate allows the admin to customize the fields that the mobile team needs to capture and collect – from measurements to client contact details – directly in the app.”
Maps Coordinate combines the power of Google’s mapping technologies with modern smartphones to help organizations improve communication with employees in the field. Employees can download the mobile app on their phone to share real-time location data and any information they need to record about a particular job. Meanwhile, dispatchers in a central office can use the web app to see the locations of the employees in the field, create new jobs at specific locations, and assign new jobs to nearby individuals or teams.
To use Maps Coordinate, “business must already have a Google Coordinate license for this mobile app to work. This app is targeted at businesses and thus does not work with consumer Google accounts,” google said.
