Google Maps has now added real-time information about the locations of charging stations for electric vehicles (EV).
This feature will make sure people have their car charged before they go for a ride.
To get started with the new EV feature on Maps a user just need to search for keywords such as “EV charging stations” on Google Maps. The Maps application with then show the nearest available location of the stations.

In addition, Maps will also display information about the business where the station is located, type of available ports, charging speeds, and number of ports ready for charging.
Businesses those who run EV charging stations will now also feature a link to the information about the chargers on their listings.
Similar to other locations, Google Maps listings for EV charging stations will also include information such as photos, ratings, reviews, and questions.
Also, information about the station from drivers will be shown.
Google Maps supports for EV charging stations is now available around the world, including:
- Global: Tesla, Chargepoint
- US: SemaConnect, EVgo, Blink
- UK: Chargemaster, Pod Point
- AU & NZ: Chargefox
EV charging stations search feature in Google Maps is rolling out today on iOS and Android.
Listings for EV charging stations will launch on the desktop in the coming weeks.
