Google Fires Back aT Steve Jobs Android Smack-down

Steve Jobs spent five minutes during Apple Q4’s event, pointing out the fragmented nature of Android OS devices. Jobs incidentally said that the iPad’s competitors were “dead on arrival” adding: “Even Google is telling tablet companies to wait for a new release of Android next year…What does it mean when software supplier says not to use software for tablets, and what does this mean when you ignore them and use it anyway?”

This morning, Google’s Andy Rubin has fired back with his first Tweet:

the definition of open: “mkdir android ; cd android ; repo init -u git://android.git.kernel.org/platform/manifest.git ; repo sync ; make”
