To make e-commerce searching easier, Google released a new product called “Google Commerce Search (GCS),” a hosted, cloud-based offering that brings relevancy, speed, and Google ease-of-use to e-commerce sites. It uses Google search technology to make online retail searching both fast and customizable, visitors can sort by category, price, brand or any other attribute. E-store administrators can highlight special products or connect related ones so searching’s easier for customers. Commerce Search includes a built-in spellchecker and synonyms so if visitors can’t spell particular toy or perfume or anything else they’re hunting for, Commerce Search’ll make some suggestions. Choosing right one is up to them, though.
