Google Calendar Now Available in Latin American Spanish

Google Calendar is now disponible to the hundreds of millions of Spanish speakers in North, Central, South America, and the Caribbean.

Latin American Spanish have been able to use Gmail in Spanish since last year–now, starting today, “you can also switch your Google Calendar language to “Español (Latinoamérica)”,” informs Google.

Of course, Spanish is spoken differently from one country to the next due to geography, separate cultures, customs, and histories say for example South America, United States or Caribbean.

But, for all Latin American Spanish speakers to have an option that looks, feels, and sounds right, Google Localization constructed a Spanish variant that combines the most common elements from the different dialects. “So whether you speak Spanish or any one of Calendar’s 42 languages, it’s now even easier to keep up with your busy schedule!,” Google adds.

Those new to Calendar but already using Gmail in Latin American Spanish, need to visit google.com/calendar and language settings will be ready to go.

However, those used a Calendar in the past, will need to update their language settings by clicking on the gear icon in the mid-upper right of Calendar, then selecting Settings. Once in General Settings, Language you can select Español (Latinoamérica).

Language Settings on Google Calendar for Android are controlled by phone’s Settings menu.
