For a couple of weeks, I’ve been facing problems with Google seems to have either stopped or sloooooooowed down their indexing and ranking here on diTii.com. I’ve checked every possible place for errors that may trigger Google crawlers. But to no avail. Finally, I’ve increased the crawler frequency in Webmaster Central tools to 90%, submitted-re-submitted many times our sitemap even though indexing isn’t done yet.
And, it’s not only Google.com, but also Google Custome Search (CSE), that’s not indexing articles, and thus it’s hard to do search, as the CSE is the only site search option here on diTii.com.
So, what happend to Google Caffeine launched earlier this year, with a focus on “faster indexing” tag. Matt Cutts had explained at the time, Caffeine meant “that all content … can be searchable within seconds after its crawled.”
While searching around net today, I’ve come across some Webmaster threads reporting Google indexing problem that has many site owners baffled. Blogs and websites, big and small, aren’t being indexed as quickly as they normally are. The reports there appear to be mainly from Google’s blogspot.com platform, but the indexing trouble isn’t limited to just to Blogger users.
No words from Google yet on the issue.
