Google App Engine is a developer tool, that enables developers to build / run web applications on the same scalable systems that power Google’s infrastructure. It provides free access to persistent storage of up to 500 MB and enough bandwidth for about 5 million page views a month.
At the time, Google said that they were going to offer a limited amount of resources for free, but that for those who need more resources, they would be able to purchase them in the future. At the Google I/O conference, they announced their pricing plan, here are the resources they’ll be offering for free:
- 500 MB storage
- 200 million megacycles of CPU per day
- 10 GB bandwidth per day
