Google Analytics 360 Suite Enhances User Management Features

Google Analytics 360 Suite now receiving a series of improvements as on September 1, 2016.

The suite was launched in March of this year, is a set of integrated data and marketing analytics products, designed specifically for the needs of enterprise-class marketers and data analysts.

The Google Analytics 360 Suite houses vital data for marketers to understand how their marketing programs, websites, and apps are performing; carefully controlling access to this data and monitoring what happens with it is a top priority, and we’ve made solid improvements.

Here is what’s new today:

User management for your Organization—Linked accounts must be verified before user management features will apply to them. To make it easy, now admins can manage their users accounts directly in the new Suite Home product: here.

They’ll now see an “Admin” tab, where they can link and verify all of their users accounts.

Centralized User Auditing. Once you complete link and verifiication, a user-auditing report generates that lists “all users who has access to your corporate accounts.”

“This is the only place where you can find a cross-product and cross-account list of users,” google explains.

The report show data including: user’s name, picture, their Suite roles, which products they access.

In addition, for linked Analytics accounts, Google also show users last time when they accessed data.

Even more details per user such as properties or containers they can access, their Data Studio license, etc. can be generated.

Filtering helps you restrict data shown on screen; for example, “you can show users who haven’t accessed Analytics data over the last 6 months.” “You can then visit the details pane for those stale users and remove them from Analytics.”

Google notes, that in future they’ll expand “removing stale users” to other Suite products.

Suite Change History lets you easily keep track of when “someone linked a new account, added or removed users, service level change, or changed the end date on an order.”

Access to change history is restricted to Owners.

All of these features are available today, administrators can login to 360suite.google.com, complete Suite setup and start using the features right now.
