Google has introduced a new way for businesses to promote discounts and deals through a new feature called Offers to Business Profiles.
With this enhancement a new layout on business profiles now features a dedicated space where business owners can show their recent offers.
That said, promotions will now show up more prominently when a search is made to help users quickly discover currently running a promotion on business profiles.
Offers will surface when a user makes a search on mobile or desktop web.
Here is how the new offers’ carousel looks:
Businesses can easily control how offers appear on their business profile using Google My Business app.
When creating a post in the Google My Business App, a new option let categorize it as an offer.
Once a post is categorized as an offer, businesses can customize different parameter according to their specific needs.
These parameters include:
- Title of the promotion
- Start and end dates
- Coupon code
- a Website link,
- …or any terms and conditions.
Business owners can show up to 10 unique offers as a list of choices, which will be displayed inside a carousel.
Offers can be created on the web or using Google My Business app on mobile.
