Google posted about upcoming changes to the way third party partners should provide reports and information about AdWords to their clients, including a document outlining what advertisers should expect when working with 3rd party partner and how to notify Google about violations of policies.
“Starting February 2011, all advertisers should be able to find out how much of their advertising budget was spent on AdWords, their ads impressions and how many times users clicked their ads. While most of 3rd party partners already provide this basic reporting.
We believe it’s especially important for advertisers with small to medium advertising budgets — who mayn’t have resources and expertise of large advertisers — to know what they can expect when working with 3rd party. If you’re a 3rd party and 80% or more of your customers spend < US $1,000 (or local currency equivalent) p/m on AdWords, you’ll be required to share this document with your customers. To learn how you can meet this requirement,” explains Google.
