adAge manged to obtain an “internal Google document” disclosing the first half of 2010 AdWords advertising spend of Google’s customers includes huge brands such as GM, Walt Disney, Eastman Kodak and BMW, which appear to have spent less than $500,000 in June. It shows 47 advertisers that spent more than $1 million in June; 71 that spent between $500,000 and $1 million, and 357 that spent between $100,000 and $500,000.
Here’re some revealing: Tech rival Apple spent just under $1 million on search during the month, as did chip maker Intel. BP, who spent $57,000 a month is now spending $3.6 million per month. AT&T spent over $8 million in June, Expedia almost $6 million, Amazon $5.85 million and eBay $4.25 million. eBay is an interesting number to me, because there were rumors it was more like $26 million per month, we do know eBay did slow down some of their Google ads for a while.
