Last week, Google has rolled out a beta of Google Ads API v1 and announced that following the launch of the production-ready release.
The v0 of the API is set to sunset on April 30, 2019. After the sunset, all requests for Google Ads API v0 will fail.
Now, the Google Ads team has launched a new “query builder” tool for those leverage Google Ads API.
The query builder provides a web interface and allows to explore the API’s reporting capabilities, build queries and copy-paste in the applications on Google Ads accounts.
The robust reporting system of the new beta of Google Ads API uses new Google Ads Query Language.
Using the language’s syntax, users can select from all the resources available for reporting as well as “filter or sort the result set on the server before its return to the application,” explained Google Ads API team.
To build a query, a user would simply select from the resource such as campaign, ad group, bid modifier, label, etc., and then choose the fields and metrics that relate to the resource. Finally, they apply filters and sorting to the query.
Once the tool generates the query text at the bottom of the window, just select the text to copy and paste right into the application.
