An update to the Google Ads released on August 17 now allows users to take action on their campaign cards directly from the Overview page. With this change users are now able to make edits to keywords, ads, campaigns, and bids right from the Google Ads Overview page.
The Overview page shows a top-level view of the users account and campaign performance. Previously, this informed users about changes they might need to make to their account. Now, Google has enabled users implementing those modifications without having to leave the Overview page.
As an example, to drive more traffic from searches on a particular keyword, “you can now click into that term, click “Edit Keyword” and edit the bid right from the Overview page,” Google explains.
Here are changes that can now be made directly from the Overview page, include:
- Pause or unpause campaigns, ad groups and keywords
- Edit campaign budgets
- Edit keyword and ad group bids
- Edit ad copy
- Exclude irrelevant search terms by adding negative keywords right within the “searches” card
On the Overview page, Google has added editing capabilities on several cards.
The change was quietly rolled went live on August 17. However, Google tweeted this update along with a GIF animation illustrating the process to make edits to the individual keywords directly from the Search keywords card:
