Google is running a two-day scavenger hunt being played around the web. If you happen to be on a Google site and see a giant Chrome logo, click on it to be one of the first to get a Chromebook.
How this work? “Those who act fast and click on the Chrome logo that appears on these sites will be granted access to a special Amazon page allowing them to buy the Samsung Series 5 Chromebook early. Everyone else will have to wait until June 15 to get their hands on a Chromebook.”
“The first clue went live this morning — a copy of Tim Berners-Lee’s original WorldWideWeb memo. The second has just gone live on YouTube page….and the sixth just went live at 6:04pm PT – Addictive, challenging yet soothing are a few words we’d use to describe Sinuous, an online game built with HTML5 canvas. Avoid the red dots, and keep an eye out for the next Chromebook preview.”
Following the Google Chrome Twitter account is the best way to get these clues fast.
Please note: This scavenger hunt only gives you access to buy a Chromebook early. Google isn’t giving them away. It’ll cost you $499 on Amazon to get one.
