Channel 10 posted about a explorer extension called “Flickr Drive,” that integrates Flickr right into Windows Explorer. The program creates a drive icon representing Flickr photo-sharing website under “Computer” in Windows Vista or Windows 7. Once installed, you must first authenticate with your Flickr account and allow program access. You can also choose whether you want to see your friends and family’s accounts too. Once setup completes, you can then browse through online photos just as if they were stored on your own hard drive. And you can edit photo tags or drag & drop them from Flickr to your computer and vice versa. You can also browse photosets, delete photos, and even do a search by tag. Application uses Flickr API over internet, so speed with which you can browse through files will be heavily dependent on your own internet connection speeds.
