Feedback Google on “noresults” pages

Matt Cutts posted about giving feedback to Google, when you come across a page with “no results found” or “empty review” pages, whenever you perform search, which falls under Google’s webmaster guidelines in a few ways. Here’s how to report a bad user experience.

  1. Go to authenticated spam report form and sign in.
  2. In “Additional details” section, enter “noresults” (all one word, all lowercase).
  3. Provide an actual “no results found” or “empty review” example url. For e.g., in the “Additional details” section, the text can be as short as this:

When I searched for [blue widget reviews] on Google, the url http://www.example.com/review/2008?q=blue+widget looks like it has reviews, but when you click through you see the message “No Comments | 0 Positive Reviews | 0 Negative Reviews. Overall Rating: No Ratings. Leave Your Ratings or Reviews here!” The page doesn’t actually have any information or reviews of the blue widget product.
