Facebook has introduced a simpler, one-click control for publishers who currently use Audience Network to turn on or off recirculation ads on Instant Articles in the new “Monetization Tab.”
Until now, the recirculation ads could only be turned on by inserting HTML code into each article’s markup, but as per the feedback of publishers, facebook today, is rolling out a new a ‘one-click’ switch in the monetization tab that will automatically turn on recirculation ads across a publisher’s Instant articles.
Publishers can also change setting by clicking the box in the monetization tab, as well as they can opt specific articles out of recirculation ads in the markup.
See the image below, to locate the monetization tab, publishers can navigate to “Instant Articles” section of “Publishing Tools”.
With ads in Instant Articles, publisher RPM (average revenue per 1,000 page views) has grown by over 50%, writes facebook, adding, “which is equal to or better than mobile web monetization.”
