Facebook “Pull To Refresh” iPhone App Code Lift Issue: Apologizes, Attribution Added

If you own an iPhone, you’ve undoubtedly used an app that has “Pull to Refresh” functionality, which was originally the work of Loren Brichter. Another group of developers, Enormego, rebuilt the functionality and open-sourced it, and it landed in Facebook Places iPhone app.

“So what’s the issue? The problem is they wrapped it into their Three20 iOS library (open-source), but did so without proper attribution. The Enormego’s immediately retaliated. A Facebook developers have responded to Enormego apologizing for the mistake which they’re calling an oversight, and agreed to give proper attibution.

Later, Brichter himself tweeting about it. “Just so there’s no confusion, Facebook should have credited Enormego for their open source pull to refresh implementation, not me,” he tweeted.
