Facebook Music Expands to Stories, Users Profiles and Lip Sync Live

Facebook has announced a series of new features that introduce more ways to users to share and connect with music on its social network platform.

The company said it will soon allow users to add songs to their profile page.

In addition, Facebook will also launch Music on Facebook Stories and expanding Lip Sync Live.

Similar to the Music on Instagram Stories, the idea is to allow users to share more of their personality on Facebook.

Here are the highlights of the new features announced today:

Music in Facebook Stories

This feature let users add a song to photos and videos shared in Stories.

To add a song, a user can snap a photo or video with Facebook Camera or use the one from their camera roll, then click on the sticker icon and select the music sticker.

Users can add the full song or even choose a specific part of the song to share, then add the music sticker with the artist and song name.

Facebook says this feature will eventually be coming to the News Feed, as well.

Move the sticker around and add other stickers and effects to customize your story.

Songs in Profile

Soon, users will be able to curate a collection of songs to a new dedicated music section on their profile page.

In additon, another new ability will let users pin a song to the top of their profile page.

Once added, the songs will also showcase the artist and track you choose.

When othe users play a song they will also hear a clip of the song and see an accompanying video featuring photos of the artists and album art.

Users can can then select and add it to their own profile page or visit the artist’s Facebook Page.

Expansion of Lip Sync Live and Adding Lyrics

Facebook is making available its “Lip Sync Live” feature to all profiles in “many” countries around the world.

Additionally, the feature is also openingup to include more artists and creators as it expands to Pages and personal profiles.

Starting today, Facebook will also allow users to add lyrics to Lip Sync Live. With this feature, users will now see lyrics displayed on the screen while they lip sync.

Lyrics is initially made available to songs like Dua Lipa’s “New Rules,” Khalid’s “Better,” and “Girls Like You” by Maroon 5.

Facebook says, more songs will get added soon.
