A new feature just added makes it easier for people to add more friends and family to their Facebook Messenger audio and video chats already in progress.
Let’s say you are on a audio or a video call in Messenger with a friend or colleague and suddenly you want another person to join—Facebook now made it super easy to quickly invite the other person to join the call.
Unlike previously, when you wanted to turn a one-on-one video or audio call into a group chat, you would have to hang up, start a new conversation from inbox either by creating an entirely new message or by searching an old one and then turn that conversation into a group call.
Now, with this new feature, when you’re in a video or voice call you can simply tap the screen and select new “add person” icon, then select who you want to join and the individual will be added to the in-progress call.
And, of course, all filters and effects are still available too. Plus, you can keep the conversation going in the automatically created group chat in the inbox after the chat ends.
This new ability to add more people to an in-progress video chat or voice call is available starting today to all with latest Facebook Messenger on Android and iOS around the world.
