Facebook Introduces Instagram Account and Advanced Page Analytics

Marketers can now learn better about how their content and channel strategies are actually driving results says Facebook as it is beginning to rolling out the Instagram account and advanced Page analytics beta.

Instagram account analytics is a new major addition to Facebook Analytics, the company says.

Facebook Page Analytics is expanding to cover all the ways in which people engage with your business through your Page.

Advanced Analytics for Facebook Pages

Facebook Page admins already have the ability to segment and analyze page performance at the post level.

Now, through the beta of the “advanced page analytics” can view the impact of the page by adding more valuable events such as actions people take on the page,

This includes post impression, page follow and unfollow, page likes and unlikes, and more.

Page admins can use any of the features in Facebook Analytics to view and analyze these events.

That said, admins can now create new audience segments of people who engage with a page in certain ways.

Once audience segments are created, admins can track funnel conversion from social engagement to purchase, compare audience demographics by channel and activity, and more.

Facebook is rolling out advanced analytics beta over course of the next several months.

Once confirmed, an email and a notification in the Facebook Analytics dashboard will appear when access to these beta features are available in Facebook Analytics account.


Instagram Account Analytics

For those Instagram plays a significant role in their marketing strategy, Facebook is integrating a new Instagram Analytics in the Facebook Analytics.

In order to view Instagram and Facebook Page analytics, page admins can use the tools like funnels, segments and omni-channel groups available in the Facebook Analytics.

With Instagram Analytics, page admins can:

  • Discover whether people who comment on or like Instagram posts have higher retention rates.
  • Compare the lifetime value of people who interact with an Instagram account to those who don’t.
  • Create audience segments and analyze the value they bring to a business.
  • Understand their Instagram audience overlaps with the people visiting their website, or engaging with their Facebook Page, or downloading the app, explains Facebook.
