Google introduced a couple of update coming in few weeks to YouTube Channels including a bunch of improvements to the original Cosmic Panda experiment:
- Customize Your Channel: Promote your favorite content in the featured tab and choose a template that fits your content.
- Engage Your Audience: Publish content to your subscribers through the new Channels feed–even when you don’t have a new video to upload. Videos you Like and Favorite will keep subscribers entertained, too.
- Expand Your Presence: When viewers go to the watch page, a piece of your Channel follows them, helping you to maintain your presence across YouTube.
- The new page has in-line scrolling.
In addition to the above, the company also inroducing a new YouTube Analytics (formerly YouTube Insight) to help users measure and achieve greater success.
“Analytics is now easier than ever to use, located right within your YouTube.com account, using a simpler design, and with more precise categories that help you compare more metrics to fully understand your audience, channel and monetization,” revealed AJ Crane, product manager.
“To opt-in, visit this page — sign-in in to your YouTube account. Once opted in, “changes you make and publish to your Channel will only be seen by others on YouTube who are opted in via this page, and people who are still opted in to the Cosmic Panda experiment,” said Crane.
