Finally advertiser now have more ways to track the performance of their adverts on LinkedIn, with professional network company launching “conversion tracking”.
In July, conversion tracking began as a pilot with more than 200 advertisers around the world—is a top-requested feature helping marketers with more insight about their “leads, new customer sign-ups, content downloads, purchases, brand engagement, and other specifics”, they’re getting from their sponsored contents and LinkedIn text ads campaigns.
LinkenIn notes, the progam is currentlly launched in Campaign Manager and in the leading campaign management platforms such as AdStage and 4C. “Over time, more official partners will release conversion tracking in their own tools, powered by the LinkedIn ads API,” company stated.
While today, it’s available only for sponsored content and text ads, but in the coming months, other products including sponsored inMail will get too.
By monitoring your specific campaigns, ads, and nature of audiences that are driving conversions, LinkedIn explains, “you can optimize your campaigns to drive even better performance.”
With conversion tracking built directly into Campaign Manager analytics, you can track the metrics including: advertising ROI, conversion count, cost-per-conversion, conversion rate, conversion value, and view– through converisons. In additon, you can even track audience segments driving the most conversions.
Additionally, you can also track whether members converted after clicking on or viewing one of your ads, noted linkedin.

Setting it up takes only a few minutes (from the step-by-step instructions) —Log into Campaign Manager and click “Conversion tracking” at the top right of the home screen, then select the account and add domain, you want to add conversion tracking, then on your website add the LinkedIn generated embed code to pages you want to track. Once done, fill in the conversion name, type, value, and URLs in Campaign Manager.
