comScore, qSearch analysis of the U.S. search marketplace reports that Google Sites led the explicit core search market in Oct. with 66.3% of searches conducted, an increase of 0.2 share points from Sep’10, followed by Yahoo! Sites with 16.5% and Microsoft sites with 11.5%. Ask Network captured 3.6% of explicit core searches, followed by AOL LLC Network with 2.1%.

Ask Network captured 3.2% of total search queries, followed by AOL LLC Network with 1.9%. Google’s share increased by 1.4%age points, primarily due to the impact of Instant Search.
