Good news for real-time strategy loving Xbox 360 owners, who have been looking at the PC’s recent treasures in jealousy, because we today learn that Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars will be landing on Microsoft’s system come May 11th in PAL regions.
We’re also reliably informed by publisher EA that a brand new demo of the game should hit Xbox Live in the next few weeks. The PC version of the veteran RTS series was reasonably well-recieved, and while many rate Supreme Commander as the heir the RTS throne, there is no doubt that Tiberium Wars is an accomplished game that returns to the franchise’s strengths prior to Generals.
There’s even a series of over-acted and lavishly produced cut-scenes to titillate. We’re hopeful, then, of a good translation into consoleish, and assuming the control scheme can be pulled off reckon this could be the finest RTS available on the platform come May.
