Bing Webmaster Tools adds a new login option that allows webmasters to use their social accounts to sign-in to their accounts.
This feature is being rolled out on Friday to site owners in the US as part of the first phase of the global launch, and let them login to their Bing Webmaster Tools account using Google, Facebook or Microsoft accounts credentials.
Social login is one of the top requested features for Bing Webmaster Tools, says Bing as it improves user experience by expanding webmaster tools login capabilities with new social sign-in option.
Here is what the interface looks like now when you try to log in:
Additionally Microsoft told us this “means that the messages Webmaster Tools may occasionally send you about your managed properties will be sent to the email account associated with the webmaster tools account you are logged in with. The most recent messages will still be available in your Webmaster Tools Message Center.”
More specifically, now when a user signs-in using their Google account, any emails sent by the webmaster tools platform will be sent to the address associated with that Google account.
Microsoft says it expect to roll out the feature in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Latin America and Asia Pacific regions shortly.
This login option is available to users who have verified their websites with Bing Webmaster Tools at bing.com/toolbox/webmaster.
If you don’t have a Webmaster Tools account, you can sign up today.
