Bing Ads adds support for fully automated bdding with a newest member introduced Monday, to its bid strategy, called ‘Maximize Clicks,’ designed to maximize click volumes within the current budget.
Maximize Clicks increases overall click-through rate and click counts over time for campaigns that are enabled, says bing. Because, this new automated bidding automatically optimizes long-tail keywords, or any other mix-and-match approach, advertisers can now set budget, and Bing Ads will automatically set bids.
And, since this automated bids prepends text (auto) to the current bid, you won’t be able to make changes to the bids. However, for making changes to bids, you will need to change to ‘Use my bid’ strategy.
As, these bidding models use time to learn and optimize, Bing recommend, Maximize Clicks must be run for at least a month before comparing results to past bid strategies.
Maximize Clicks is not yet available for Bing Shopping Campaigns.
To get started, select ‘Automated bidding: Set my bid to maximize clicks’ from the drop-down menu under Campaigns settings, and header option, a new section labeled Bid strategy type.

For additional control, optionally you can set a maximum cost per click that will apply to all automated bids in this campaign.

You can also manually manage bid strategies for ad groups and keywords, or top-perfoming keywords, you choose the ones and then select ‘Use my bid’ option under Bid strategy menu of any ad group or keyword grid. “Each ad group and keyword can be selected to use parent campaign bid strategy or to have bids set manually,” writes bing ads team.
