Bing Ads’ is helping advertisers in boosting productivity with the general global availability of its (artificial intelligence) AI-powered performance insights.
Bing Ads is pleased to announce the global availability of AI-powered performance insights.
Performance insights, native analytics, and recommendation tool empower advertisers with the built-in capability to identify changes in ad performance.
Advertisers can use this data to access valuable information and make more informed decisions for their business.
Here is how performance insights works?
Bing Ads’ tool surfaces insights about daily performance at the account level and for click and impression metrics. When available, the insights will appear in the performance charts in the UI.
By leveraging machine learning, the tool automatically analyzes advertisers’ account performance data to detect significant or unexpected changes in account performance.
Once the analyzation completes, Bing Ads’ displays the performance insight indicated through an insight light bulb icon.
After clicking on the light bulb, a popup card with details on what happened and suggested actions show up. Using the insights from a popup, advertisers can drill down to specific changes made to their account that led to that triggered performance insight.

Campaign managers can access performance insights in Bing Ads’ account interface either for “Daily performance at the account level,” or for “click and impression KPIs.”
Bing Ads gave an example of performance insights working explaining how an advertiser is reviewing their weekly click performance.
“We can see that a performance insight is available via the insight light bulb icon, corresponding to the same day a spike in clicks occurred.
After clicking on the light bulb, a popup card is revealed to explain why this spike in clicks occurred and any potential follow up actions that you can take.
In this insight, we can drill down to expand the list of Keywords in question, navigate to Change History to review the specific changes, or view opportunities on how bids could be further tailored to increase click performance.”
Performance insight can be easily removed at any time by simply clicking on “Dismiss this insight.”
Also, from the same window, campaign managers can also send feedback to the Bing Ads team. See this screenshot below:
