Firefox: Following are some free extensions that allows you to backup and restore extensions, themes, bookmarks, mail, contacts, history, cache, preferences, cookies. and much more into a single, installable .xpi file.

CLEO and FEBE backs up and restores into a single, installable .xpi file.

MozBackup is a simple utility for creating backups of Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, Mozilla Sunbird, Flock, SeaMonkey, Mozilla Suite, Spicebird and Netscape profiles.

OPIE (Ordered Preference Import/Export) allows you to import and export your installed extension preferences. This is useful when installing extensions in a new profile, or synchronizing multiple Firefox installations. 

OperaFly is a powerful and easy to use Windows utility for backing up Opera preferences. You can either install OperaFly to your PC or just unzip the no-install version and click the OperaFly.exe icon. The program will try to detect your Opera installation directory, and then you can select which aspects of your profile you want to backup.

Internet Explorer Backup is a data backup software that can backup various Internet Explorer related settings and options such as favorites, proxy settings, autocomplete passwords, cookies or dialup accounts.
