In the Internet of Things (IoT), a new open source project on GitHub to enable devices connected to Azure IoT Hub to store data in a Cassandra database is released.
The new Cassandra connector let developers easily build solutions that harness IoT-scale fleets of devices and store data from them in Cassandra tables for later analysis, writes Sam George.
“The library can also be fully customized, if needed. Developers can define the schema of Cassandra tables and specify how data should be stored, whether based on the type of the message or by splitting the incoming data into multiple tables for easier analysis,” George explained.
In addition, also released along side is a Docker container to make the deployment and testing of the new library a matter of few minutes.
The code is available on GitHub.

- Have you and your cloud provider reviewed audit results of the CJIS controls? As a law enforcement agency, do you have access to continuous monitoring reports?
- Have you or your state CJIS Systems Agency done fingerprint based background checks and approved your employees and your cloud provider’s employees with potential access to Criminal Justice Information?
- Have individuals with potential access to Criminal Justice Information completed CJIS security awareness training?
- Have you confirmed mobile device access is secured per the requirements of the CJIS Security Policy?
