As of Monday Nov 14th, it’s now easier than ever for anyone to connect on Skype, as it’s no longer need to register, or even download it, and you can start a conversation directly from the web by joining as a Guest.
It’s not the ease, best of all, all of Skype’s free features, including one to one, group instant messaging, voice, video calls, screen sharing and even file sharing are accessible. You can even invite up to 300 people to chat, or up to 25 people on a voice or video call.
So, now go to Skype.com, tap start a conversation, add your name, and you’ll then be get a unique conversation link, which you can share via email or social networks with either individual contacts or a group. The conversation will start immediately once, the link is clicked.
Of course, you can also join as a Guest, when you are on Skype for Web, and your conversation will last for 24 hours.
However, to return to a conversation, call a landline or mobile, or translate a conversation in real-time with Skype Translator, “a free Skype account is still needed,” the team said.

While stickers are replacing the emojis on most messaging apps today, Skype has just announced a new set of Tangerine Band mojis, which are short video clips with audio.
For these new mojis Skype has partnered with artists such as Paul McCartney, while today’s Mojis comes from Seattle-based indie band Tangerine, and is inspired by the band’s music.
“Their music embraces the ups and downs of life and often depicts courage, confidence and hope–themes that Skype relates to strongly,” writes Skype team.
“When Skype reached out initially, they told us that they wanted to create Mojis inspired by our music and image as a band.[…]we wrote music for them….That way they were able to make sure that both elements were perfectly tailored to one another. Seeing the actual animations once they were finished was a very gratifying moment!,” wrote the Seattle-based trio.
