Androidland: A Android-themed Zone Designed Telstra Open on Bourke Street in Melbourne

GoogleGoogle Australia opened a Androidland, a special Android-themed zone in Telstra’s flagship store on Bourke Street in Melbourne.

“Designed by Telstra in collaboration with Google and handset makers Samsung, HTC, Sony androidEricsson, Motorola and LG, Androidland features displays and games that will help shoppers learn about Android phones and tablets,” blogged Lachlan McGrath, marketing manager, Google Australia.

“Did you know that Australia has gone from lagging to leading the worldwide smartphone revolution in the last year? We estimate that each month hundreds of thousands of Aussies are buying a smartphone — so chances are they’re on the Christmas list of someone you love. For the record, we’re ok with the “one for me, one for you” school of Christmas shopping,” added McGrath.
