Apple’s car user interface, the Apple CarPlay is now supported on Google Maps around the globe, that offers an ability to iPhone users to navigate with Google Maps directly from their car’s built-in display.
This launch brings native support for Google Maps navigation, search and much more directly in the car’s that supports iOS CarPlay devices.
Users can use Google Maps with Apple CarPlay on all CarPlay supported vehicles and devices.
To start using CarPlay with Maps, a user must make sure to update their iPhone with latest Apple mobile operating system iOS 12, which was released on September 13.
Then, download the latest Version 5 of the CarPlay app from App Store. And, then connect the iPhone via CarPlay.
In addition to user experience, the availability of Google Maps with Apple CarPlay also opens more inventory for advertisers to target those users of Google Maps with CarPlay.

Same real-time navigational information, like the search for places, see alternative routes and get live, up to date information about traffic jams and delays happening now, see an up to the minute ETA.
Start navigation from the iPhone and immediately pick up where you left off once you’ve connected to CarPlay.
No data? No problem. Just downloaded maps of an area to see directions and use turn by turn navigation in offline mode.
Users can set up commute within the app will see real-time traffic updates en route about their journey.
Finally, those obsessed with creating lists can get access to any of their saved lists from Google Maps on CarPlay. This lets them quickly navigate to all of their favorite places with a single tap.
