Microsoft Power BI announced Tuesday, two new solution templates – one enhancing Bing News searches for brand managers, a second built for resource and account managers.
With “advanced search solution template for Bing News,” brand managers can more easily find and read the articles most relevant to them, the team said. The new template extends Bing News search capabilities and now allow users to filter things like sentiment, topics, and by organizing data into known locations, people and organizations.
The template can be set up easily with just the search terms to track and an Azure subscription, as it utilizes Microsoft Research technologies and Azure services.
“All these enrichments are carried out inside the solution template pipeline using Azure services like Logic Apps and Azure Functions for orchestration as well as Cortana Analytics cognitive services and Azure ML for the machine learning pieces,” explained BI team.
Microsoft Research have authored several custom visuals for collections of text aimed at enhancing search experience.
Another solution template released Tuesday, for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Project Service Automation – includes sets of reports designed for professional service practice managers, resource managers and account managers.
“The solution template offers a very fast guided experience to create compelling reports on an extensible, scalable, and secure architecture and can be customized as needed,” wtites BI team.

Adding, like Dynamics 365 Sales Management template, “Project Service Automation template replicate data from Dynamics 365 instance to a Azure SQL Database store in a customer-owned Azure subscription through Dynamics 365 Data Export Service,” it said.
The Data Export Service is a free add-on and the template can be provisioned by a Dynamics 365 administrator in just a few minutes.
Microsoft also on Tuesday, announced that its “chat-based workspace,” Teams, will be generally available on March 14.
The service was announced back in November, and it’s been in preview ever since. In fact, it’s already being used by over 30,000 organizations.

With this addition, “you can now get a separate set of recommendations each for sharing content and insights,” writes Microsoft.
Documents now show engagement history with Microsoft Social Engagement user who did the action with name and avatar. The engagement action history extend to now also cover actions done on private message. “Once this update is live any new action your team takes will show directly in the post list with the respective number indicator on the matching action’s button,” said Microsoft.
