With HP’s announcement of the webOS deminse and the TouchPad’s fire on sale, the Android port for the platform is moving full steam ahead. As, the Android now becomes the choice for a TouchPad port, and the folks at a modding community HackNMod are offering bounties to the developers that can make it happen.
The device is perfect for running Android, sporting a 1.2GHZ CPU with 1GB of Memory, meaning many users are hopeful that they’ll see Honeycomb or even (Ice Cream Sandwhich) in the near future.
“Complete one (or several) of the tasks belowe and let the world know! Post your source code on GitHub and paste links to your pictures and videos in the comments below (or email us). All work must be documented under an open source license. The first person or group to successfully complete a fully functional task above wins the corresponding prize. The only condition is that your port must have a user-friendly installation process (such that the average user can easily install it),” said the HAckNMod.
