Celebrate the count down to 2012 with 12 days of deals on games, add-ons, avatars and more from Xbox LIVE.

Drop by Xbox LIVE every day to see what new deals we have for you – but remember these special discounts won’t last more than a day.

Every day Microsoft will announce a new daily deal on Major Nelson’s Twitter page.

The first deal which went live on December 20 is Bastion, the recent fantasy action-RPG from SuperGiant Games. It’s on sale for a day only and you can save 50% on this award winning Xbox LIVE Arcade game.

Microsoft has also cut the price of a number of other Xbox Live Arcade games by 50 percent from now until January 2, 2012.

The games in this list include Portal: Still Alive, Peggle, Peggle Nights, Bloodrayne: Betrayal, Afterburner Climax, Plants vs. Zombies, Renegade Ops and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet.

In addition, Microsoft also cut the price for a number of Xbox Live Avatar items by 50 percent along with the Rockstar Pass for LA Noire.

Microsoft is also building on its Xbox 360 catalog of movies, sports, television and music and starting today the company is offering the following new entertainment experiences in various regions on Xbox LIVE:

  • 4 on Demand (C4). United Kingdom
  • ABC iView (Australian Broadcasting Corp.). Australia
  • Dailymotion. Available in 34 countries globally
  • Demand 5 (Five). United Kingdom
  • M6. France
  • MSN Video. France
  • UFC on Xbox LIVE (UFC). Canada, United States
  • VUDU (Wal-Mart). United States

In addition, on December 15th Microsoft and Orange announced that Orange TV is coming to Xbox LIVE in France, starting in Spring 2012. Thirty Orange TV channels will initially be available, including the major channels available in the French market. Later in the year, “catch-up” TV and Orange’s video on demand catalog will also be available.

Dailymotion will be available in the following countries:
