Just three days back, Yahoo! transitioned certain back-end functions for Yahoo! Search over to Microsoft’s search platform in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, New Zealand, Peru and Venezuela.
Now, today, August 4, the Yahoo!-Microsoft Search Alliance update brings the transitioned algorithmic results to Microsoft in “France, Germany, India, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom,” announced Kartik Ramakrishnan, Vice President, Search Engineering, Yahoo!
Today’s announcement of “six new countries brings us to total of 17 countries: (in alphabetical order):
Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada (English), Chile, Columbia, France, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Spain, the United Kingdom, United States, and Venezuela,” wrote Ramakrishnan.
Ramakrishnan said that “As always, our top priority is to provide a quality transition experience and we are working closely with local teams to understand the specific needs of each country.
We will continue to keep you updated as we expect to transition additional countries across Europe and Asia in the coming months.”
