Yahoo! created a new “Yahoo! Entertainment App for iPad,” using the newest features of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the building blocks of what is quickly becoming known as HTML5. Get an interactive Program Guide that lets you plan your TV viewing, watch up-to-the-minute video, plus get handpicked news and entertainment with Yahoo! Entertainment on your iPad. “Y! Entertainment app for iPad uses HTML5 technologies sparingly, including only a smattering of video, offline storage, and emerging CSS features, yet the user experience is compelling. The Video and News sections of the app run in the embedded browser and are almost completely programmed in the same way a developer codes a webpage, yet the functionality is seamless and the performance is nearly indistinguishable from a native app,” stated Yahoo!.
