Xbox 360 price “definitive word”

This won’t exactly satisfy prospective console buyers, but Robbie Bach, president of Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices Division, sought to put the questions over the company’s Xbox 360 pricing plans to rest, for now, a moment ago here at Microsoft’s annual meeting with financial analysts:

“I will answer the question on pricing because I think it will just get asked. We have a very specific plan with what we’re going to do with pricing. We’re just not going to talk about it today. … But understand that we’ve had a plan since the beginning. We’re on that plan, we’re tracking to it, and we will do the right thing for what we need to do in the marketplace based on what we see and conditions in the marketplace.”

See this earlier post on the similarly vague signals in Microsoft’s earnings report. Also see this post for Microsoft games exec Shane Kim’s comments on the topic.
