An interesting article on engadget discusses about a device created to automate an Xbox 360 controller. The individual who invented the Xbot did so in order to achieve extra Xbox Live points without actually being present. Although I find his creation very interesting, I would classify this as 100% cheating and basically an unethical device against other gamers. He was using the device to win 1,000 Death Matches and 1,000 Dark Ops rounds of Perfect Dark: Zero.
Every article I have read about this device never mentions the unethical implications devices like these create. The device appears very simple to make and could be useful in ways, but I still think it’s cheating when used online against other players or as a way to gain XBL points which undermines the entire system.
